UP Film city: An opportunity for India

Indian film Industry has always been an opportunistic field for entertainment, learning, endorsing new skills and as a way to generate employment. India is a mixed economy with a sense to work for the needy and generate some enlightening routes for them to stabilize their living.

The Indian government is working diligently for its people to win and live a worthy life. The Uttar Pradesh government has thought of an initiative of building a grand new film city which will help provide different location for movies to shoot and can simultaneously aid people to earn and enjoy life by their own means.

Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, unveiled an ambitious plan to create a "film city" and invited the film industry to visit the state. The country's "biggest and most beautiful film city" will be built in Gautam Budh Nagar district, according to Chief Minister Adityanath. A dedicated infotainment zone with world-class civil, public, and technological facilities would be created.

UP has given financial incentives of up to Rs 2 crore in the past few years to persuade filmmakers to the state. The state government approves the scripts for these films, and they must meet certain requirements set out in the state film policy. A film made in Awadhi, Braj, Bundeli, or Bhojpuri can receive a subsidy of up to 50% of the cost, whereas a film made in Hindi, English, or any other language can receive a subsidy of up to 25% of the cost. This subsidy is limited to Rs 1 crore if at least 50% of the filming takes place in Uttar Pradesh, and Rs 2 crore if two-thirds of the film is shot there.

Although there is enthusiasm for the project, with government officials claiming that it would also generate jobs in the state, this isn't the first time that the state of Uttar Pradesh has attempted to incentivize the film industry to establish a base in the state. Those previous attempts had failed miserably.

Once More Studio believes this as a dream project not only to strengthen India but the entire Indian cinema. Once more studio aims to expand their genre of locations and will explore new destinations to serve you better.
