City of Panaji to halt film shooting

With its exotic, multi-hued beauty, Goa provides a picture-perfect atmosphere. It has a vibrant culture, and filming is easy, with low production costs, simple modes of communication, and no language barriers. Residents had demanded that the on-going filming be halted or postponed to avoid the spread of coronavirus, he added. After evaluating the COVID-19 situation, he said the decision to resume filming would be made.

After finding it difficult to shoot in Mumbai due to an increase in COVID-19 incidents, many film producers approached the Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG) through their line producers for film shoots in the touristic state.
